Risk assessment does not eliminate risk. Everything is risky, even getting gas from the local station. Animals sometimes come in human form and these beasts take what they wish and care nothing about the rest of us. We see a shinning hockey star struck down in his youth and its effect on his family or should we say its total destruction.
Once the war is begun everyone thinks they are in the right; but one side did start it, and that makes them wrong. This dad did get even, but “even” is a funny word with so many dead. Would his life been better if he just forgot the killing of his son? Is everyone better off having set himself upon revenge? Society is better off for his sacrifice but once he ran low on gas in a bad neighborhood his life was over.
